The
project was completed in just under four days, which is very quick
for 3D animation.
I used the newly
released version 9.3 of Lightwave; this was my first real project
from start to finish since version 6 many years ago. I utilized
morph-mixes, bones, some new bone and weight map tools, and the
Saslite fur shader.... although at 2AM the day it was due I realized
the fur shader was not going to work over my render-farm via
Screamernet. So that explains the shiny panda bear.
The final version had
my address and phone number; I took that out for the public version
which explains the strange jumps.
I cut the original
audio and final animation with Sony Vegas Pro 8.
We burned 20 or so custom-printed DVD's of the
film in a lovely envelope designed by Susan. DVDs with animated menu
was created with Sony DVD Architect 4.0.
